The Lazarus Papers
“The Lazarus Papers” (2010) is a supernatural action film set in Southeast Asia, directed by Jeremiah Hundley. The story follows Sebastian, a mercenary who hunts for the thrill of the chase and sells victims into slavery. During one operation, he kills a peaceful local shaman, Aroon, and his family. However, Aroon dies only to come back to life the next day, unable to die. Full of despair and unable to cope with life without his family, he attempts suicide. After each attempt, he dies, only to be reborn the next morning. Trying to understand what prevents him from dying, Aroon embarks on a quest across the jungles and cities of Asia, searching for a secret to unlock his immortality.
