The story follows Su Zhenghuai, a health department clerk, who embarks on a train journey with his family. Shortly after departure, the train is overrun by a swarm of aggressive rats, leading to chaos and panic among the passengers. When Su Zhenghuai’s son is bitten and falls into a coma, he and his daughter, Su Wei, venture into a nearby town to retrieve medicine from a hospital, navigating through rat-infested streets.
