In Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988), Kirsty Cotton is sent to a psychiatric hospital after her traumatic experience with the Cenobites. However, her nightmare deepens as she learns that Dr. Channard, a twisted psychologist, has unlocked the gateway to hell by using the Lament Configuration puzzle box. Channard, obsessed with the Cenobites and their dark powers, unleashes horrors upon the hospital and attempts to use the box to reach greater power. As Kirsty tries to survive, she must confront the malevolent forces and escape the horrifying dimension of hell before it claims her soul.
