Elysium (2013)
Set in the year 2154, Elysium explores a dystopian world where the wealthy live on a luxurious space station, Elysium, while the rest of humanity suffers on a ruined Earth. Max, a factory worker, is exposed to a lethal dose of radiation. Desperate for survival, he embarks on a mission to reach Elysium, where advanced medical technology can cure him. With the help of insurgents, Max faces off against Elysium’s government, led by the ruthless Delacourt. The film highlights issues of class inequality, healthcare access, and the consequences of technological advancements.
