Code 8 (2019)
In a dystopian future, individuals with superhuman abilities are treated as outcasts and live in poverty. The story follows Connor Reed, a young man with powerful electrical powers, who struggles to make ends meet for his sick mother. He joins a criminal group led by Garrett, a fellow “powered” person, to rob a secure facility. As Connor becomes deeper involved in the underworld, he must choose between his morals and the survival of his family. The film explores themes of discrimination, desperation, and the fight for equality, while providing a fresh twist on the superhero genre.
