Brightburn (2019)
“Brightburn” is a horror sci-fi film that explores the dark side of a child with extraordinary powers. Tori and Kyle Breyer, a couple, adopt a mysterious alien boy named Brandon, who crashes to Earth in a spaceship. As Brandon grows, strange and dangerous abilities emerge. However, unlike other superheroes, Brandon uses his powers for malicious purposes, terrorizing those around him. As his powers escalate, his adoptive parents struggle to control him, realizing that their son is not the hero they hoped for, but a villain. The film combines horror and superhero tropes to explore the consequences of unchecked power.
