Blade Runner (1982)
In the dystopian future of 2019, Rick Deckard, a former “blade runner,” is tasked with hunting down rogue replicants—bioengineered beings designed to serve humans. These replicants, led by Roy Batty, have fled to Earth, seeking to extend their limited lifespan. Deckard’s mission leads him to confront moral dilemmas, especially after meeting Rachael, a replicant unaware of her artificial nature. As Deckard hunts down the remaining replicants, he grapples with questions of humanity, identity, and what it means to be alive.
