In a dystopian future, Japan faces extreme youth violence. To control the chaos, the government initiates the Battle Royale Program: a group of high school students is selected each year to fight to the death on a remote island. They are given weapons, collars that monitor their movements, and forced to kill or be killed. The story follows Shuya Nanahara and Noriko Nakagawa, two students who struggle to survive amidst their classmates’ brutal battles. As alliances form and betrayals unfold, the survivors must confront the dark side of humanity and fight for their lives.
