Jennifer’s Body (2009) is a horror-comedy film directed by Karyn Kusama, written by Diablo Cody. The movie follows Jennifer Check, a high school cheerleader who becomes possessed by a demon after a failed ritual by a local band. As a result, she begins to seduce and kill her male classmates to feed her insatiable hunger. Jennifer’s best friend, Needy, is the only one who suspects what’s happening. She must confront the deadly threat her friend has become. Jennifer’s Body blends elements of horror, dark humor, and feminist themes, gaining cult status over time for its unique take on the genre.
