Ninja vs Shark (2023)
“Ninja vs Shark” (2023) is a Japanese action-horror film set in the Edo period. The story follows the village of Okitsu, where the malevolent cult leader Koushirou employs ninjutsu to control sharks, compelling them to attack local pearl divers. This sinister plot allows the cult to harvest pearls from the victims’ remains. In response, the village chief enlists Kotaro Shiozaki, a temple guard, to confront the threat. However, Kotaro faces obstacles from the formidable lady ninja Kikuma and a colossal, otherworldly shark. Directed by Kôichi Sakamoto, the film stars Darrel J Delfin, Christopher Escalante, and Koshu Hirano. With a runtime of 77 minutes, “Ninja vs Shark” delivers a unique blend of traditional Japanese martial arts and supernatural horror.
