Black Lightning (2008)
“Black Lightning” (2008) follows the story of Jefferson Pierce, a high school principal and former superhero. After retiring from his vigilante life as Black Lightning, he struggles with balancing his duties as a father and educator in a neighborhood plagued by crime and corruption. When his family is threatened by local gangs and corrupt officials, Jefferson reluctantly returns to his superhero persona. Armed with the ability to control electricity, Black Lightning fights to protect his community and reclaim his family’s safety. The series highlights themes of justice, family, and the fight against systemic inequality.
